The Beginning

People in many developed countries made cycle as a part of their life for daily commuting and touring but youngsters in Kerala are throwing the humble bicycles at the age of 15 and switching to cars and bikes is a big disappointment. The lack of suitable cycle tracks and roads on the highways in our state are the main roadblock for cycling in Kerala. Keeping these points in mind, a lot of unique campaign ideas gone through the mind of the Pedal Force founder to bring back cycles as an alternative mode of transportation especially among people aged 18 years and above and developed a campaign named “The Save Planet Ride” and announced it in December 2017 in a press conference at Ernakulam. Ride for Proper Cycle Tracks

Demarcating the sides of the road as cycle tracks is unscientific because people park their motor vehicles on the sides. To highlight this issue, Pedal force organized a ride from Vytila to Edappally to construct cycle tracks on the median. The bypass has 3 meter width median and it can be converted to cycle tracks without accruing any land
